Angel’s Envy Bourbon found inspiration from Mr. Lincoln Henderson's career as a master distiller of the world's best spirits. Lincoln was a master artisan who was inducted into the Kentucky Bourbon Hall of Fame as one of the first honorees, and received the Malt Advocate's "Lifetime Achievement Award." Angel’s Envy Whiskey is finished in ruby port wine casks, made from French oak, and imported directly from Portugal. This process lasts up to six months. The port casks offer delicate flavor subtleties to the whiskey, enhancing it.
This handcrafted Angel’s Envy bourbon is blended in small batches of 8 to 12 barrels at a time. It’s typically aged for up to 6 years. While they lose roughly 5% of the spirit to evaporation each year, Angel's Share, what's left after the process is finished, is genuinely envious. Once it’s deemed ready, they finish our bourbon in ruby port wine casks. The port finishing process lasts between three to six months, depending on taste.
