Facundo Bacardi and his brother José purchased the Santiago de Cuba Distillery in 1862 and started distilling the world's most celebrated rum. Column still distillation and oak barrel aging for one to two years make Bacardi Gold Rum. Then, the aged rum is filtered through a unique charcoal combination to shape the final rum further.
Bacardi Gold Rum - The Proud Invention Of Bacardi
The Maestros de Ron Bacardi proudly crafted Bacardi Gold rum. Facundo Bacardi and his brother José acquired the Santiago de Cuba Distillery in 1862 and commenced distilling the world's most popular commercial rum. Bacardi is presently the world's leading family-owned spirits industry. Facundo Bacardi developed a smoother, more sophisticated rendition of the locally made rum by combining charcoal filtering, oak barrel aging, and a copper and cast iron still. They now skillfully construct their rich flavors and golden sheen in toasted oak barrels. And what's the key to that unusual peaceful demeanor? This is due to a charcoal composition known only to them.
Bacardi Gold Rum - Tasting Notes
Bacardi Gold Rum is charcoal purified and aged in toasted American white oak casks for one to two years before blending. As a result, classic rum cocktails, such as the Cuba Libre, benefit from the liquid's depth and complexity while keeping a smooth finish. Rich, calming flavor profiles like vanilla, buttery caramel, toasted almond, and sweet banana remarks are matched by the warm zest of orange peel and a light, oaky finish in Bacardi Gold rum.
The Gold Rum is served in a typical long-necked cylinder bottle. This bottle is designed to be simple to handle, operate, and keep on the bar shelf. The label's black bat design emphasizes the Bacardi brand and makes it easily identifiable on store shelves.
Bacardi Gold Rum - Perfect For Cocktails
The Bacardi Gold rum is a well-made amber rum. It has a good depth of flavor that seems to be tailored to a wide range of palates. I discovered that the rum performed well in both daiquiri-style cocktails and the Cuba Libre', which is famed.
