Buffalo Trace’s O.F.C. Vintage 2006 is a vintage small-batch bourbon distilled in 2006 at the historic Buffalo Trace Distillery (formerly the Old Fire Copper Distillery). Aged for approximately 18+ years in charred new American oak barrels, this bottle captures nearly two decades of maturation before bottling at 45% ABV. It comes in a hand-cut crystal decanter housed in a wooden display case, honoring the legacy of the O.F.C. line.
Nose: Dark cherry, caramelized sugar, antique oak, leather, and tobacco
Palate: Layers of dark chocolate, dried fruit, cinnamon spice, toasted nuts, and seasoned oak with a velvety mouthfeel
Body: Full-bodied and luxurious, showcasing deeply integrated oak
Finish: Exceptionally long and elegant with lingering spice, sweet oak, and soft leather tones
Distilled in 2006 and aged for nearly two decades—one of Buffalo Trace’s most vintage offerings
Bottled at 90 proof in a crystal decanter with wooden display packaging
Honors Buffalo Trace’s pre‑Prohibition heritage as the original Old Fire Copper Distillery
Highly at collectible status due to limited allocation and vintage dating
Serve neat in a Glencairn or tulip glass to appreciate its complex aroma and texture. Drink slowly to savor cinnamon, dried fruit, oak spice, and leather. Best as a contemplative or celebratory dram.
