Description

Cream of Kentucky is a 13-year-old straight bourbon chosen by Jim Rutledge's discriminating eye. It's an extraordinarily well-balanced and creamy straight bourbon. The Cream of Kentucky brand has been around since 1888. It's adored for the profile that's exceptionally well-balanced and smooth. There are notes of nutty, chocolatey, malt, fruity, cinnamon, and oak on the palate. It has a long and pleasant warming finish.

Cream of Kentucky - Creamiest Straight Bourbon

I. Trager & Co. of Cincinnati, Ohio, first introduced the Cream of Kentucky brand in 1888. The famous Schenley Company purchased the brand shortly before Prohibition ended, and it was re-introduced in 1934. J.W. Rutledge now owns Cream of Kentucky. Jim Rutledge's Whiskey mastery is unrivaled. And he's been meticulously maintaining the Cream of Kentucky brand because he understands that his prestige is everything, and it's on edge with every bottle. And you can see his meticulous care to precision in the weirdly accurate age declarations he's used thus far. So you can trust the Cream of Kentucky 13 bottle when it claims thirteen years.

Cream of Kentucky - Robust, Well-Balanced, Smooth

The Cream of Kentucky 13 year is a sourced Whiskey (stills are being constructed at Rutledge), but it is mainly well sourced. The distillery and mash bill are kept under wraps, but the taste suggests corn at 70-75 percent, malted barley at 8-10 percent, and rye at the other end of the spectrum. And, at 51 percent ABV, it's pretty robust. Toffee, citrus, spice, and a hint of mint open the profile, which is extraordinarily well-balanced and smooth. On the palate, there are notes of nutty, chocolate, malt, fruit, cinnamon, and wood, as well as cinnamon and oak. Long and gently warming on the finish, with rich lingering flavors.

Cream of Kentucky 13 Year - The Iconic Bourbon

While we don't know the exact recipe, Cream of Kentucky is generally one of the best-matured bourbons in the industry. This batch proves that the Cream of Kentucky title is well-deserved. The best word to describe it is "creamy." It has a strong flavor and is dangerously simple to consume. It's fantastic in every way. You can drink it straight up or on the rocks. Alternatively, you can give your beloved bourbon cocktails a new twist.

Bottle Broz's bourbon collection is out of this world. Look it up here. Drink with caution.
