Jameson Irish Whiskey was launched in 2018 to carry on the legacy of John Jameson, the living embodiment of 'Sine Metu' (without fear). There isn't a more recognizable name in Irish whiskey than "Jameson." The Jameson family has been around since 1740, when John Jameson was born into a family whose motto, "Sine Metu," was gained by the family's bravery in combating pirates on the high seas throughout the 1500s. At the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, Jameson Irish Whiskey achieved a double gold medal and a gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2020.
Jameson Irish Whiskey is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley that is triple-distilled in three copper-pot stills: a wash still, a feint still, and finally a spirit still, much as John Jameson did centuries ago. The mash is created using barley, maize, and clean Irish water, adding to the whiskey's distinct flavor.
Jameson 18-Year-Old Triple Distilled Irish Whiskey is a unique combination of three whiskies matured in hand-selected American bourbon and European oak casks in Jameson's Midleton warehouse for at least 18 years. The whiskey's scent opens with spicy oak and toffee, and the taste follows with additional toffee and fudge notes, as well as delicate undertones of sherry, thanks to its 18-year beauty rest. The whiskey is completed in first-fill bourbon barrels just before bottling, giving it a smooth, vanilla finish accentuated by aromas of toffee and caramel.
Jameson Irish Whiskey is no exception to the rule that beauty comes with age. The mellow, sophisticated composition has a lasting finish of oak, spice, and toffee. On the rocks, with a dash of water, or even straight up, it's silky smooth.
The Jameson, 18-Year-Old, is the excellent choice for Christmas, anniversaries, birthdays, Father's Day, Mother's Day, and other significant occasions, and comes in a wooden box as a nod to the whisky's presence of wood.
