Vago Elote is a unique mezcal that is at once approachable and complex. To create it, the passionate Garcia family make their beautiful Espadín and then fire up a second distillation of the liquid over lightly toasted corn where the vapors simply “kiss the corn”, in their words. The result is a unique mezcal with a creamy-smooth finish. Originally created by Aquilino Garcia Lopez in the pristine mountain town of Yegolé, 4,000 ft above sea level, the family now carries forward this tradition.
