Caribbean Rums are mixed with natural spices and tastes to create Sailor Jerry Rum. It's made the old-fashioned way with 92 proof. It's delicious on the rocks or straight up. You'll understand why Sailor Jerry is so special after just one drink. Vanilla is the first scent to hit your nose, followed by dry buttery toffee and a hint of cinnamon after a couple of sniffs. The flavors are described as creamy vanilla tones with warm undertones of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum is a rum that finds its own path through life. Norman 'Sailor Jerry' Collins, a free-spirited tattoo artist from the old school, likes the drink's namesake. 'Originate, not imitate,' he lived his life by. We believe in traditionally preparing rum, as men in the past consumed it. It's spicy and silky, and it's distilled to 80 proof (40 percent ABV). A rum that "goes down smooth but is powerful." Sailor Jerry upholds the age-old practice of offering high-quality spiced rum as an unrivaled mixer.
Vanilla, lime, and spices are blended with Caribbean rum to make this popular spiced rum. This rum is robust but smooth, reflecting the heritage of the legendary American tattoo master Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins. Please note that Sailor Jerry has had a new formula since its release in February 2010. The lime has been lowered and the extra sugar has been removed. If you're not a big fan of the new recipe, you may easily improve the flavor of the new version by adding some brown sugar and vanilla essence to the container and shaking it vigorously - it works! Vanilla spice, butter, wood, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ground ginger dominate the flavor profile. On the palate, it's dry and sweet, with flavors of winter spice and black pepper, as well as toffee.
