Behind The Scenes of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut

In 1772, the world-famous Champagne brand Veuve Clicquot was established. Barbe Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin, at the age of 27, was one of the earliest modern-day businesswomen. She would go on to be an excellent addition to the realm of winemaking, marketing, and selling wines to Russia, designing the first riddling table to turn her wines crystal clear, and establishing the culture for creativity at Clicquot that still exists today. To preserve the excellence and character authentically Clicquot, they've employed a minor lineage of only 10 Cellar Masters throughout the decades.

How Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut is so smooth

Since 1772, Veuve Clicquot's yellow label brut has served as the House's emblem. Its complexity originates from the prominent presence of Pinot Noir and Reserve Wines, which creates a great combination of power and elegance. Veuve Clicquot uses fruit from 50 to 60 various crus to combine 30-45 percent reserve wines. The Pinot Noir supremacy (50-55%) offers the strength that is so typical of Veuve Clicquot, while Chardonnay (28-33%), with a touch of Meunier (15-20%), contributes the grace and delicacy required in a well-balanced wine. The Champagne's silkiness comes from the extensive age in our Crayères (3 years required for Yellow Label).

Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Brut - Tasting Notes

Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label has a lovely golden-yellow color and a foamy necklace of tiny bubbles. It has a beautiful aroma that starts with yellow and white fruits, then vanilla, and finally brioche. Take note of the delicate balance between the fruity scents from the grape varieties and the toasty fragrances from the three years in the bottle. The initial sip has all of the freshness and intensity that Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label is known for, followed by a melody of fruit flavors. This is a genuine Brut member, well-structured and vinous to a fault. The lingering fragrances reverberate and reverberate, with solid cherry and almond undertones.

Its consistent ability to please makes it an excellent aperitif and champagne to accompany dinner.
