Taylor & Williams and J.B Dant made the first Yellowstone Whiskey in the late 1800s with a log still. A copper pipe-lined log still can be constructed by hollowing out a tree trunk to distill more efficiently for less money.

Over the years, the company has changed ownership many times, but Luxco, in partnership with Limestone Branch, has just acquired the brand. Even more logical given that Steve and Paul's great-great-granduncle initially distilled the brand.

Yellowstone Select Bourbon - A masterful fusion of flavors

As the name suggests, Yellowstone Select Bourbon is named for the owner's passion for the United States' first national park, and the distillery strives to blend the great outdoors into this bottle of whiskey.

This Yellowstone Whiskey is a blend of two high-rye Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, one matured four years and the other aged seven years, selected by Paul and Steve Beam.

The aroma is full of banana, dried cherries, caramel, herbs, licorice, and brown butter. In addition to caramel, the palate is coated in roasted hazelnuts, peanuts, flamed orange zest, and toasty bread. An earthy, spicy, burnt brown sugar and clove-laced finish round out the taste.
